Birthday Video for Example

Example's 30th birthday is coming on the 20th of June this year. As this is his big 3-0, Fans for Example on facebook have decided to make him a special birthday video full of pictures of his awesome fans.

They are looking for pictures of Example's fans -- YOU! Any kind of picture of you guys will do, you by yourself, with your friends or even with something written on yourself for him to see.
Just send any picture to XMPLproject@seznam.cz. In the subject line of your e-mail you need to write Example b-day project otherwise they will not even open the e-mail.

Some other notes of the project are...

• The size of the picture has no max limit, however the smallest it can be is 640 x 480 pixels.
• It should be .jpeg or .png.
• Add your name and the country you come from onto the picture.
• They will be using an instrumental version of one of Example's songs on the video to which they are looking for suggestions. If you have a song you would like them to use suggest it in your e-mail.
• The closing date for your pictures is the 3rd of June.

New Single OUT NOW!!

Examples new single with Flux Pavillion (actually it's Flux ft Example) is out now. The song is called Daydreamer.

It is currently at number 30 on the midweek chart update, so let's try and get it to number 1 before Sunday!

Example Featured on David's New Tracks

We all know about Example's loyal guitarist, David Stewart. He's always wanted to be a front star himself and now his dream may be coming true. He has recorded himself an album which features a few top stars including Example. The song is called 'Run the World' and you can hear it below.

If you click on the video itself it will take you to the YouTube page for the video, which you can see was added by David and clicking on his name will take you to his profile to see all his other new songs.

We're Back!!

This month long hiatus is over now that I'm back off holiday... if that's what you'd even call it!

I was suppose to be going on this awesome cruise, which I paid £14K for. I went to Portsmouth and on the morning we were suppose to be leaving I couldn't get out of bed - I had food poisoning. So, I couldn't go on the cruise, wasn't allowed a refund and had to pay £70 a night for 27 nights because I was too ill was too get back home.

I saved up for 4 years to go on this cruise so now I am well and truly skint!

Isn't life just great sometimes.

HOLIDAY!!

Hey guys, yep the title is correct. I am going on holiday tomorrow (30th March) and I'll be away for the entire month of April! Woo-hoo!
I am going on a cruise and unfortunately won't have any real internet connection.

This means that I won't be able to supply you with news or anything else on our blog, twitter or Facebook page.
I will be back on the 1st of May so will make sure to catch up on everything then.

I guess I'll speak to you guys then, have fun at home/school! :P

p.s. if you follow us on twitter during this time, obviously I won't be able to follow back - however, I will make sure this is the first thing I do when I get back.

So, our current provider for the site (the other pages above) has decided that it doesn't want to let anyone create/edit their websites anymore, so I've had to find a new provider.
Luckily, I have found a new one and it will be up and running very soon.
However, while we're still constructing it I would like to let you all know that on the Pictures page we will be sorting a part for fan photos. So, if you guys have any pictures of yourself and Example (or Rizzle Kicks, Professor Green & Ed Sheeran) we would be very happy if you could send them to us and we will put them on the site. We can also put your twitter/Facebook page on there as well so people know who you are (only if you want us to).

WIN Tickets to See Example Live

Delano are giving away 3 tickets to see Example live in concert for his very first show in Luxembourg.

All you have to do is e-mail your name and contact info (and write Example in the subject field) to contest@delano.lu

The closing date for this competition is Friday March 2nd and the concert itself is on March 16th.

Example Confirmed for Cancer Gig

Example has been confirmed as one of the acts playing at The Royal Albert Hall for Teenage Cancer Trust in March and April.
Other acts playing include; Jessie J, Florence and the Machine, Pulp and comedian Jason Manford.

The gigs Teenage Cancer Trust have over the last 11 years raised over £14 million for the Teenage Cancer Trust, with all funds going towards building specialist cancer units in NHS hospitals.

The acts play one night each, here are the night each will play ...
Friday 30 March: Example.
Saturday 31 March: Pulp
Sunday 01 April: Jessie J
Monday 02 April: Comedy Night with Jason Manford
Tuesday 03 April: Florence + the Machine

Tickets will go on sale from 9:30an on Friday 24th February priced at £25 each.

Example to Perform at Wireless

Example has been confirmed to perform at this years Wireless Festival at London's Hyde Park.

He said "This will be my 4th year in a row at Wireless. We must be doing something right! I feel like part of the furniture now.
"Over the years I've moved up from stage to stage and played bigger slots but I can honestly say every one of them was equally epic. Whether it was opening the main stage or closing one of the smaller tents the crowd was always packed and buzzing with energy.
"The backdrop of Hyde Park adds a certain air of heritage and great tradition to the whole event. I can't wait."

He will be joined by Professor Green, Drake, Rihanna and Wiz Khalifa.

Example Signs a US Record Deal

He has signed a deal with Mercury/Universal Records in the USA! Apparently, CTWYKM (which was the second best selling single by a male last year) caught the attention of the US producers.

Elliot said “I'm pleased to have signed to a major label like Mercury/Universal in the US. It was important to me to sign with someone who understands not only my ambitions but also the way I work. I want to do it on my own terms, I enjoy a good challenge and can’t wait to get started."

The BRITS nominations have been revealed and Example has been nominated for one award, Best Single for CTWYKM.

Capital FM have released their new official tv advert which features not only our lovely Example but also Ed Sheeran, Pixie Lott, Rhianna, Jessie J, JLS, Labrynth and The Wanted, along with other stars. You can view the video here...

Official Chart Position

On the first official chart of 2012, Example has none of his songs in the singles chart, however his album 'Playing in the Shadows' has come back into the albums chart at number 23.
